Join us for a fun experience of gold panning at our beautiful stream near Holsworthy!
Devon is well known for it’s rich and varied mineral deposits. This includes GOLD in the Holsworthy area!

Your experience will include:-

Booking Details

Book Online
Prices – Adults £25 – Children £12.50
Wear old shoes, wet suit shoes, wellies.  You might get wet!
Bring reading glasses if you need them!
Duration 2 Hours Approx (At least 1 Hour Gold Panning)
Suitable for – We suggest age 6 and above
Facilities – Field Parking, Picnic Benches, Tuck Shop, Portable Toilet
Arrive – 5 mins before your planned start time
No dogs allowed

* Technically – Any gold or silver found belongs to the Crown, not you, or us, so must be returned to the stream.  Please remember a find is not guaranteed. 

Open Season –  Start of May Half Term – End of August Bank Holiday.

I'm a Grandma and I arranged this activity but didn't know if it would " work".The whole family from adults, a 19 year old, 16 year old and 9 year old really enjoyed this activity. Very good communication regarding the activity as due to heavy rain on the day it had to be cancelled but the family were able to take part the next afternoon.The family didn't find any gold but they did find fools gold . They reported that they had an enthusiastic leader who was great. Highly recommended.

Paul gave just the right amount of information for kids between the ages of 10-14yrs, including demonstration of ‘how to’. The kids had a great time exploring the river and panning, one struck lucky multiple times finding lumps of fools gold! Kids have already requested to come back, great fun.
